Ignite (11-18s)

Welcome to Ignite, the youth group based here at Wade Street Church. Our aim is to equip and empower young people to become disciples of Jesus; transforming them and the world around them.

We’d love you to come and join us as we journey together.

Ignite is a space where any young person can come, have fun, feel safe and thrive.

We cover a wide range of activities from regular weekly gatherings to one-off events such as weekends away, trips to summer festivals and the all-important annual trip to Alton Towers. From time to time the group will also take part in outreach both at home and abroad.

Our activities and meetings are amended to reflect the changing needs of the group but the following should give you a feel for our regular meeting structure.

Sunday Evening Ignite

Our Sunday evening session is a great introduction to the group. It’s an informal session where we meet to simply have fun with a blend of different games and activities each week!

Our sessions range from games nights, to lip sync battles, to our very own Ignite Bake Off – and we are always welcome to new ideas.

Sunday Morning (11.00 am – 12.15pm)

This session is part of the Sunday morning worship here at Wade Street Church.

We always spend the first 20 minutes in church with the rest of the congregation before going out for our own activities. Once a term, we also lead the whole church service allowing the group to get more involved and try new things.

Whilst this session tends to be made up of young people from the church, we invite anyone to come along who may be curious and wanting to know a bit more about what it means to be a Christian.
